Development Process for Faculty-led Programs
If you have an idea for a study abroad program that you would like to run in the South Pacific, you can draw on AUIP’s expertise in developing both flagship and customized faculty-led programs. We strive to make the development process of launching your study abroad program easy from start to finish.
1. Initial Discussion
- Talk to us about your ideas
- Work with us to define your academic, logistic, and financial needs
2. Proposal
- Review the program proposal we develop for you. This will include:
- Day-by-day description of activities (lectures, site visits, field trips)
- Details of flights, accommodation, travel arrangements and meals
- Pricing
3. Recruitment
- Market program to students using proven AUIP outreach strategies
- Use our professionally designed templates and alumni internship program
4. Before departure
- Prepare academic materials (on your own or through our academic manager)
- Provide payments and student documentation
- Review AUIP faculty and student handbooks
- Meet with AUIP staff on a pre-departure call
5. During the program
- Rely on a detailed day-by-day itinerary with staff notes for easy program leadership
- Contact your 24/7 logistics coordinator as needed
- Draw on our risk management plans where necessary and emergency on-call staff
6. After the program
- Submit staff and student program evaluations
- Meet with AUIP staff to debrief
- Discuss content changes and pricing for following year
