Why AUIP? Access to hands-on study abroad activities and local guides

Reef walk – Southern Queensland, Australia

Whether you’re planning to lead your first group of students abroad or have coordinated dozens of study abroad programs, our team can support you in your faculty-led endeavors. From assisting with the development of a customized program to providing you with pre-departure tools, we handle the full scope of your needs.

Why work with AUIP?

Regional expertise

AUIP’s focus is on the South Pacific, where we live and work. When developing a program with us, you will benefit from our close relationships with local lecturers, field guides, and providers of accommodation and transport. During programs, you will have an AUIP contact on call 24/7 in case of emergencies, or just if you need a helping hand.

A choice of program models

You can choose between two different types of programs. Our well-established flagship programs offer you a full curriculum, course reading pack, and ready-to-go itinerary which you can tailor if needed. Alternatively, partner with us to develop a customized program, and we will assist you with creating an itinerary and your program’s academic components.

Sample AUIP flagship programs:
  • Sustaining humans and their environment
  • Conservation-based service learning
  • Sustainable business
  • Antarctica: Human Impacts on a Fragile Environment

Experiential learning

Your classrooms are the South Pacific’s cultural, urban, and natural environments. Your students’ experiential learning opportunities include field research, service learning, site visits, guest lectures, hands-on activities, and homestays.

AUIP’s level of service is top notch, and their staff are very easy to work with throughout the process. Students always have an enriching academic experience that highlights the most important cultural and environmental aspects of the region. I would recommend AUIP to any faculty member or study abroad office looking to develop short-term programming in the South Pacific.
