I’m back in Yungaburra, in what is the most adorable hostel: On the Wallaby. It’s been such a blast…Last night we celebrated the Fourth of July and watched the State of Origin game at the same time! We decorated the lobby with red white and blue streamers, and did sparklers.

Millaa Millaa Waterfall, Atherton Tableland

Today, we went to a chocolate and cheese factory, two waterfalls, an outlook, and a crater lake. I swam at both of the waterfalls (Dinner and Millaa Millaa). Millaa Millaa was actually featured in an Herbal Essences commercial; a bunch of the girls got model-esque hair flipping photos (including yours truly). I nearly went in to shock due to the frigidity of the water but it was so worth it!

What else…Oh yeah, I’m thinking a career as an environmental lawyer (a path I was seriously considering) isn’t for me. How do I know this? I couldn’t handle one of the debates we did for part of the program. Yeah. Sad. So, I’m thinking the courtroom isn’t for me; don’t much like conflict. I was super bent on making a career out of “saving the environment”, a road that actually lead me to Australia, and the more I think about it, the more I don’t think it’s for me…I see now how making changes in one’s lifestyle can really make a different in the effort to be more sustainable. I will definitely make sure I make these changes…As for making a living, I think I’m going to allow myself a career/major path more along the lines of something I actually enjoy (or at least am able to do in a somewhat competent manner). Don’t actually know what that is yet. Eh, I have time.

Speaking of time, I have four more days with the program!….and someone in line behind me to use the internet.
