Hello there, world! My name is Adrienne, and you’re about to join me on an amazing 24-day journey into the glorious depths of South Queensland, Australia.

What adventures I can share with you depends on the course syllabus provided by AUIP, the weather, my health, and how much pocket money my parents will allow me. But I’ll do my best to get the most awesome out of any situation we’re in.

The course I’m enrolled in is called South Queensland: Humans and the Environment, which focuses on interactions between, well, humans and the environment. More specifically, my classmates and I will be learning all about natural resource management in Australia, conservation, and how all that ties into a social component involving our actions and responses
(sustainability studies). In addition to that we’ll be exploring Australian culture and geography. I’m really looking forward to it!

Our journey starts May 20th, 2011 in Brisbane and continues on until June 13th, so check back on all the amazing posts I’ll be uploading!
