“Grab—Click—Pull!” and “Stretch and Slide!” aren’t usual airline safety video phrases. But with Richard Simmons leading the latest Air New Zealand safety video, these instructions coupled with comical fitness movements are exactly what you’ll see.

Complete with neon lycra, headbands and leg warmers, Simmons’ class participants seem straight from the 1980s. And keep an eye out for the cameo by Amazing Race host and New Zealand native Phil Keoghan.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iaTEgoezNQ]The video, named Fit to Fly, is the most recent of the airline’s successful inflight safety videos, which have been watched over 7 million times on YouTube.

Now we’ll have to wait and see if Air New Zealand staffers like Simmons’ appearance or deem it tacky, as did Qantas employees of Travolta’s safety video for their airline.
