Have your travels around the South Pacific spurred your interest in indigenous rights? If so, you will be interested to learn of the ANTaR (Australians for Native Title and Reconciliations) initiative and website.

ANTaR is dedicated to the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This year ANTaR are launching a campaign to strengthen Aboriginal communities and decrease rates of incarceration – currently, an Indigenous young person is 28 times more likely to be imprisoned than a non-indigenous young person.

ANTaR have also released a booklet (left) that can be downloaded of success stories showcases 13 successful Aboriginal community-controlled organizations in the NT that are working across a diverse range of sectors – makes for fantastic reading.
