When you’re alone or just simply can’t find a kind stranger, taking a solo or group picture can be quite the challenge. Who hasn’t done the extremely awkward Stretch Armstrong maneuver of ‘let me see how far I can extend my arm to put myself in this picture’?
Our friend and office neighbor, Marty Coyle, brought to our attention the Quik Pod that can solve this baffling dilemma of taking your own picture.
The Quik Pod is an extendable handheld tripod that quickly, hints the name, connects to your camera for self-portraits. Plus, a new DSLR version offers stability for heavier cameras.
We’ll admit we haven’t tried this gizmo ourselves but we’re hoping to do so soon. To escape the hassle of balancing cameras on walls or car hoods, we think it’s well worth the $25 price tag.
Post a comment if you’ve tried the Quik Pod or another tripod, and let us know your preference.
