Have you finished study and looking for a great opportunity to gain some experience in the marketing industry? Or do you just have some extra time this winter? Well the Embassy of Australia is seeking a Marketing Intern for the winter 2012 semester.

Interns are hired for a period of three to four months, work full-time and will receive a $1000 stipend. The winter internship will run from January to April; start and end dates are flexible.

The Embassy of Australia is especially looking out for those students who have spent some time in Australia, studying, working or travelling – having participated in an AUIP program would be perfect! The application deadline is 5 December 2011.

The Marketing Intern will assist in a range of tasks including, event management, student enquiries, website development, online social media, marketing, database/administrative tasks and research.

The successful candidate will:
• have completed at least three years of college (with a min GPA of 3.2)
• possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• be proficient with Microsoft Office
• have event management experience
• have the ability to work independently and in a team
• have the ability to show initiative
• have experience updating marketing collateral including publications and websites
• have experience using online social media in an academic or professional capacity (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WordPress)
• have a personal interest in the fields of international marketing, education marketing, international education, and/or marketing
• have previous work or study experience in Australia
