One of our directors Kevin Arscott spent some time in Townsville recently with the Penn State group studying in Northeast Queensland. Kevin returned with positive remarks about two restaurants worth mentioning.

At the Seaview Hotel’s Steakhouse, you can eat by the waterfront for reasonable prices. For a weekday lunch, consider their $14 special pita sandwiches served on pita bread freshly baked in the wood fire oven. Or an all-day option is their traditional wood fired pizzas with basics like Margherita and Italiano or more adventurous like the Tropicana or Calabrese.

A slightly pricier option for dining is over at the Brewery. The premises serves as a restaurant and microbrewery. If the pub fare, such as fish and chips or chicken schnitzel, doesn’t suit you, then opt for one of the hearty steaks. You can’t go wrong with any of the five cuts of meat, especially with the savory sauces atop them.
