Recently Air New Zealand and the New Zealand Department of Conservation signed a $1 million deal that ensures flights for endangered species between sanctuaries and also promotes national walking tracks.

The three-year partnership between these entities will increase marketing and conservation programs for the National Parks Great Walks and the species translocations needs.

As part of the partnership, “The Great Walker” competition will begin soon for one person from anywhere in the world to visit New Zealand and complete all nine Great Walks in just nine weeks. For details on the competition, watch the video below and visit the official website here.
