From the penmanship of Harvard undergraduates, the Let’s Go travel guides highlight accommodations, food, sights, entertainment and nightlife specifically tailored to students. If you’re on a budget, then the cheap eats and hotels will be a help in your travels.
With chapters divided by roadtrips, you can flip to a section for the Deep South and read suggestions for Raleigh near North Carolina State like eating at Foster’s Market. Or in the Pacific Coast chapter, you’ll find a recommendation for visiting the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, a close drive from Oregon State. We’ll certainly be trying some of these suggestions in our marketing travels nationwide!
Books can be bought online here.
The Let’s Go website also includes useful information for destinations worldwide. We, of course, like the Australia and New Zealand overviews, which provide a useful Essentials area detailing topics such as tipping customs and sales tax.
This week Eleanor is at Ohio State and has a copy of the Let’s Go Roadtripping USA to give away tonight at the Buckeyes Abroad in Australia information session. Come to Kottman Hall, Room 333 at 6 p.m. to learn more about the program.
