If you are looking for ways to live more sustainably and lessen your impact on the environment, then take a look at National Geographic’s The Green Guide website. The Green Guide features environment news articles, photos and videos, as well as a host of information on green living.
Of particular interest is the Green Buying Guide, which enables readers to make informed choices when purchasing new items. Buying guides are provided for a range of products including bikes, laptops and even fertilizer and include shopping, environmental impact and usage tips.
And if you’re wanting to test your sustainability knowledge, then be sure to check out the online quizzes. The quizzes test knowledge on subjects such as sustainable food (pictured at right), plastics and home insulation, but also educate users at the same time. It’s a fun resource that manages to get across a pretty serious message.
Finally, in the Green Living section there are tons of really helpful tips on how to live a more ‘green’ life. Information is provided on recycling, conserving electricity and water, DIY cleaning to even making your own organic toothpaste!
We’re enjoying the features of The Green Guide and hope you will as well. Also, be sure to read all our Green Living posts for similar content.
