With it nearly being 3 months to the day since the 7.1 magnitude hit Canterbury clean-up efforts around the area have been miraculous. Fences and barriers are now being pulled-back from roads around the city as repairs and removals progress on earthquake-damaged buildings. The majority of shops in the centre that were affected have now been relocated or repairs have been undertaken to secure them. Homes affected are also being attended to by the Earthquake Commission.

Canterbury Residents were treated to an amazing free concert called ‘Band Together ’ which acted as a very special gift to the people of Canterbury from the artists of New Zealand, a thoroughly enjoyable day that raised the spirits of the ‘shaken’ residents!

The message to come out of Christchurch is that it we are open for business and stronger than ever!
