Have you been on one of AUIP’s Australia programs? Loved the country and want to head back? Here is your chance; the Embassy of Australia is seeking a summer marketing intern who has spent time in Australia previously.

Interns are hired for a period of two to three months, work four to five days a week and will receive a $1000 stipend. The summer internship will run from middle of May to early September with starting and ending dates being flexible.

The intern will assist with event management and tradeshows, making calls to industry contacts, student enquiries, website development, online social media, marketing, database/administrative tasks and research. The intern will work primarily with the education and biotechnology teams while supporting other staff as needed.

The successful candidate will:
* have completed at least three years of college (with a min GPA of 3.2)
* possess strong written and verbal communication skills
* be comfortable making calls to professional contacts
* be proficient with Microsoft Office
* have event management experience
* have the ability to work independently and in a team
* have the ability to show initiative
* have experience updating marketing collateral including publications and websites
* have experience using online social media in an academic or professional capacity (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WordPress)
* have a personal interest in the fields of international marketing, education marketing, international education, public relations and /or marketing
* have previous work or study experience in Australia
