Hello everyone! My name is Mackenzie Erickson and I will be one of AUIP’s student bloggers during my trip this winter. I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where I am currently studying marketing. Being from a small town in Wisconsin, traveling is something I have always dreamed of. This winter-term I will be studying ecotourism and sustainability in the South Pacific region. My itinerary is packed full of travel and adventure, and as a bonus I’ll also get college credit!

I hope this trip will give me new perspectives of the world, and enhance my resume at the same time! I am eager to meet new people, try new food, and explore the landscapes of these two beautiful places. I have never been outside of United States and I couldn’t picture doing it any better way than with “the Ultimate Field Trip”! I hope you all anticipate my postings as much as I do, because I can’t wait to share my adventures with you!
