I never thought I would spend my summer snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef! This past summer, I challenged myself in so many ways. I spent my days hiking through the Daintree Rainforest, camping in the Outback and boating out into the Pacific Ocean to explore the Great Barrier Reef. After all of these amazing adventures, I feel like I’ve grown as a student in so many ways!

This summer, I traveled to North Queensland, Australia. We studied the culture and environment of the areas by listening to awesome guest lecturers and doing field research. The coursework was very relevant to the experience, and it helped me to understand the research I was doing each day.

My name is Annalise Kelleher, and I’m going to be the Buckeyes Abroad intern for AUIP at Ohio State this year! As a Communications major with a minor in Business and Marketing, I’m thrilled to have this internship. I can’t wait to tell potential students all about my amazing experience and encourage them to take the challenge, just like I did!
