This year AUIP staff celebrated the festive season and the end to a fantastic year with a highly enjoyable afternoon of lawn bowls followed by a delicious dinner at Kevin’s house.

It was team logistics (Donna, Sara and Sheena) vs the ‘others’ (Laura, Marty and Noel) in the bowls and to begin with, it looked like team logistics were going to carry away the win but the last six rounds saw their demise and the ‘others’ were able to claim the victory. On to Kevin’s house where secret Santa gifts were exchanged (Sara was Santa – hence the hat!) followed by a delicious dinner. There was plenty of chatter, jokes and even a bit of singing to top off the evening.

We did of course think of Lee (who is currently stuck in the UK waiting to fly out to Virginia Beach to spend Christmas) and Eleanor (having a much deserved rest from all her travels in Atlanta, Georgia) who couldn’t join in the fun. They were missed and we have vowed to have another Lawn Bowls tournament when they return to NZ next year.
