Our journey was a little chaotic, but we made it! We were lucky enough to fly on the inaugural <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qantas.com\/\">Qantas<\/a> flight from the Dallas\/Ft. Worth International Airport to Brisbane, so we got to catch a little party, complete with kangaroo meat appetizers and a fun photo opp with a kangaroo, pictured below!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Posing with Qantas roo!\" src=\"http:\/\/i305.photobucket.com\/albums\/nn205\/alliegator118\/Australia%202011\/Australia002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"403\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right now, we&#8217;re on beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magnetic_Island\">Magnetic Island<\/a>, and we&#8217;re all so excited to be settled. It took three flights, a bus ride, and a ferry, and we&#8217;re finally here. You may not think so, but there is such thing as extreme ferrying. We literally held on for dear life for thirty minutes as\u00a0we jetted toward the island.<\/p>\n<p>So far, it&#8217;s just great getting to see a little bit of Australia and its lifestyle.
