The first few days of the trip have been packed full of activities. I was fortunate enough to make it to all of my flights on time unlike part of the student group who got stuck in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.choosechicago.com\/\">Chicago<\/a> because of the snow. So far we have spent our time in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aucklandnz.com\/int\">Auckland<\/a>, New Zealand. I have gone on a bus tour of the city, learned about the Maori culture, spent the day by the water at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.missionbay.co.nz\/\">Mission Bay<\/a>, and rung in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyearseveauckland2015.com\/\">New Year<\/a> at the heart of the city.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/auip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Erickson_Photo-2-e1451932265119.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-4245 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/auip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Erickson_Photo-2-e1451932265119-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Erickson_Photo 2\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/auip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Erickson_Photo-2-e1451932265119-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/auip.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Erickson_Photo-2-e1451932265119-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>In only a few days I\u2019ve realized how clean New Zealand is. The country is so dense with ecotourism and sustainability that I imagine there will be no problem in learning the content of this course and how important it is. Over the next few weeks I can\u2019t wait to experience all the great things on our itinerary and be able to come home and share what I\u2019ve learned with everyone.
