With 63 entries to consider, our judges didn\u2019t have an easy task of selecting winners for the 2014 Photo Contest: The Wonders of Oceania<\/a>. The judges remarked that the photos certainly represented AUIP\u2019s experiential programs very comprehensively.<\/p>\n

After scrutinizing each entry though, the results are in, and we\u2019re excited to share with you this year\u2019s photo contest winners as follows:<\/p>\n

\"Learning<\/a>Experiential Classroom<\/strong><\/p>\n

First: Learning on the Trail into Mt. Cook<\/a> by Taylor Yeates from Buckeyes Abroad<\/a> New Zealand program (pictured left)<\/p>\n

Second: Hiking in Hidden Valley Gorge<\/a> by Olivia Cheney from Wake Forest University\u2019s Australia program<\/p>\n

Third: Snorkeling at Barefoot Island<\/a> by Hannah Kunz from Aggies Abroad<\/a> Fiji program<\/p>\n

Natural Attraction<\/strong><\/p>\n

First: Adelies Away!<\/a> by Amanda Wilson Carter from the Hokies Abroad<\/a> Antarctica program (pictured right)<\/p>\n

Second: Blue Painted Sky over Port Douglas Shore<\/a> by Georgia Parks from the Aggies Abroad<\/a> Australia program\"Adelies<\/a><\/p>\n

Third: The Otago Peninsula just before Sunset<\/a> by Hannah Berry from Wolfpack Abroad<\/a> New Zealand program <\/p>\n

And, at the time People\u2019s Choice Award<\/strong> voting closed, the AUIP extended community elected winners to be:<\/p>\n

Experiential Classroom with 116 votes: To experience and report on the world “down under”, my classmates and I swam down under off the coast of Lady Elliot Island in Australia<\/a> by Rachel Robillard from The University of Texas at Austin\u2019s Journalism in South Queensland, Australia program<\/p>\n

Natural Attraction with 140 votes: Neature<\/a> by Hannah Kunz from Aggies Abroad<\/a> Australia program<\/p>\n

All winners are asked to please email donna@auip.com<\/a> their postal mailing address for delivery of their prize.<\/p>\n

AUIP wishes to thank the generous sponsors, City Lodge Auckland<\/a>, Cape Tribulation Beach House Resort<\/a>, Calypso Coaches<\/a>, Murrays<\/a>, Hexagon International<\/a>, Downunder Farmstays<\/a>, Pinewood Lodge<\/a> and Bungalow Bay<\/a>. The sponsors provided the winners for both categories these prizes:<\/p>\n
