The earthquake was centered at Lyttelton, roughly 10 kilometers southeast of Christchurch\u2019s city center, at a depth of 5 kilometers.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that all AUIP staff members are safe and unharmed after the earthquake. However, the city as a whole has suffered serious damages and deaths.
