{"id":2289,"date":"2010-12-22T13:49:21","date_gmt":"2010-12-22T01:49:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/auip.wordpress.com\/?p=461"},"modified":"2010-12-22T13:49:21","modified_gmt":"2010-12-22T01:49:21","slug":"news-brief-auips-end-of-year-christmas-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/auip.com\/blog\/news-brief-auips-end-of-year-christmas-party\/","title":{"rendered":"News Brief: AUIP\u2019s end of year Christmas party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This year AUIP staff celebrated the festive season and the end to a fantastic year with a highly enjoyable afternoon of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bowlscanterbury.co.nz\/\">lawn bowls<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/auip.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/12\/2111.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-464\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/auip.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/12\/2111.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a> followed by a delicious dinner at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/arscott.php\">Kevin\u2019s<\/a> house.<\/p>\n<p>It was team logistics (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/thom.php\">Donna<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/sara.php\">Sara<\/a> and<a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/crawford.php\"> Sheena<\/a>) vs the \u2018others\u2019 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/laura.php\">Laura<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzwebdevelopment.com\/\">Marty <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nzwebdevelopment.com\/\">Noel<\/a>) in the bowls and to begin with, it looked like team logistics were going to carry away the win but the last six rounds saw their demise and the \u2018others\u2019 were able to claim the victory. On to Kevin\u2019s house where secret Santa gifts were exchanged (Sara was Santa \u2013 hence the hat!) followed by a delicious dinner. There was plenty of chatter, jokes and even a bit of singing to top off the evening.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-465\" title=\"253\" src=\"http:\/\/auip.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/12\/253.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We did of course think of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/lee.php\">Lee <\/a>(who is currently stuck in the UK waiting to fly out to Virginia Beach to spend Christmas) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.auip.com\/about\/eleanor.php\">Eleanor<\/a> (having a much deserved rest from all her travels in Atlanta, Georgia) who couldn\u2019t join in the fun.\u00a0They were missed and we have vowed to have another Lawn Bowls tournament when they return to NZ next year.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a great year for AUIP and from everyone at AUIP we would like to thank you for your support and wish you a fantastic Christmas and New Year!
