{"id":2283,"date":"2010-11-17T09:50:50","date_gmt":"2010-11-16T21:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/auip.wordpress.com\/?p=399"},"modified":"2010-11-17T09:50:50","modified_gmt":"2010-11-16T21:50:50","slug":"library-students-ban-bottled-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/auip.com\/blog\/library-students-ban-bottled-water\/","title":{"rendered":"Library: Students ban bottled water"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We caught sight of an article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecu.edu\/cs-hhp\/rcls\/schneiderp.cfm\">Dr. Paige Schneider<\/a>, co-director of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.personal.ecu.edu\/wattsc\/sa_southpacific.html\">Pirates Abroad programs<\/a>, posted on her Facebook wall and had to share it with everyone.<\/p>\n<p>The <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/\">New York Times<\/a> <\/em>article <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/11\/07\/education\/edlife\/07bottledwater-t.html?_r=3\">\u201cBanning the Bottle\u201d<\/a> states 86 percent of plastic water bottles end up as garbage in the United States. That\u2019s quite a daunting fact, especially considering all the other ugly facts we shared in our <a href=\"http:\/\/auip.wordpress.com\/2010\/06\/30\/green-living-drink-up-tap-water\/\">June 30, 2010 Green Living post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s good news is that universities nationwide are banning the selling of bottled water on campus.
