The ledge and adjoining cave was used for Aboriginal men\u2019s business, such as carving, spear making and male discussions. The men would come here at midday to stay cool out of the open land\u2019s sweltering heat.<\/p>\n<p>Our <a href=\"http:\/\/auip.com\/programs\/northqueensland.php\">North Queensland<\/a> programs received special permission to visit this restricted area of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.derm.qld.gov.au\/parks\/chillagoe-caves\/about.html\">Mungana Caves<\/a>, so students reveled in the cultural and environmental significance.<\/p>\n<p>Can anyone guess which student this is enjoying the view?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From a ledge perch within the Mungana Caves, a student gazes out at the vast out bush landscape.
