Programs: Antarctica

Basking in Antarctica's sun

The coldest, windiest, driest, highest, quietest, most remote, and least understood continent on earth—Antarctica, of course. This wondrous and unique place has been an object of human speculation for millennia and a prize for explorers, sealers and whalers, and scientists for over two hundred years.

This course examines this forbidding and enchanting corner of the world and provides a broad overview of the human and natural history of Antarctica. The field portion of the program includes penguins galore, skyscraper-high icebergs, and a breathtaking (literally) polar plunge.

Programs: Australia

With some typical program activities including cuddling a koala, snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, enjoying a farmstay with real Aussies, and touring the Sydney Opera House, studying abroad Down Under is an easy decision.
