BiographyBrian, a New Zealand native, has been a Field Officer with AUIP since 2006. Brian quotes:

maintaining the balance between conservation and productivity is the
challenge I enjoy.”
Brian is a keen
outdoor environmentalist with a wide knowledge of New Zealand and its
natural life and physical features, having explored most places and
many of the offshore islands
Following the completion a B.A. at the University of Otago,
Brian began a rewarding career as a science teacher and adviser to
schools in Otago and Waikato areas. He was awarded a Fellow of the
Science Educators Association. Currently, besides his role at AUIP, he
keeps busy working as a volunteer guide at the Kiwi Encounter display in Rotorua, the Citizens Advice Bureau, and operates the Serendipity Bed and Breakfast Homestay in Rotorua.
Brian is married to Kate, and together they have 4 adult children.
